![]() They were sold out of the banana pudding so bummed we didn't have the chance at that. I did order a sugar honey ice tea and that was pretty tasty as well. I could have done Mild but you never know how that turns out and didn't want to chance it with my 6 year old not being able to handle it. The Wimpy tenders for the kids were just OK. ![]() ![]() 3 juicy tenders, slaw and spice medium was the right hint of spice for us. Verdict? Approx 1 hour 50 minutes later, I got the pick up text right after 278 walked up and got his order.īig Ol Sandwich - medium spice tender sandwich was goooood. #278 and I both ordered the same dishes (sandwich&tenders). 277 was chilling with her young daughter received her order approx 1 hour 50 mins later and was missing quite a few items from her order so she had to pull out her order confirmation to compare as there was an issue between what she ordered and what they received and prepared. 270 had been waiting 1hour and 30 mins for her food (received an hour and 45 later) with no text confirmation but her # verbally called out. I ended up getting to know a few other people socially distanced outdoors all waiting for their food. I decided to wait in front like everyone else with my fam bam in the car. I decided to walk up and ask what # they were at and was told 265. We arrived and noticed a line of a few people waiting for their food, we decided to wait in the car for the next 30 minutes again hopeful that we'd get the pick up text that our order was ready. * We were already in route for 2:36 p/u time.Īs expected, we arrived 30 minutes too early. Once paid, you get a text stating 1 hour wait and an estimated pick up time of exactly an hour later. We are about 30 minutes away and had noticed online from fellow foodie friends that the wait was expected to be 45-1hour wait, so I decided to place my order as I prepared to head out on the off chance they finish in 30 minutes as I wanted my fam to enjoy the meal HOT! Upon ordering, the site didn't give an Estimated time before paying. I had missed trying them at those foodie night markets in the past pre-covid so when I saw on IG that they were having a pop up, i had to be there! I planned to come for a late lunch after Kids swimming class and a few errands as they had a small breakfast. I was extremely excited to finally try Bred's Nashville Hot Chicken. This review is solely based on a 3 day special at the "SJ pop up" done last weekend outside a SV Kitchen Rental spot. Highly recommend Bred's! Hoping they'll stop by again soon! I definitely recommend ordering ahead so you don't have to wait. There is only online ordering or there is an iPad for you to order from at the truck itself. I am not a fan of the honey iced tea ): I think it was maybe too much honey for me? So if you are a fan of honey, it would be good for you! I also do not like the waffle that much, as it is sort of plain. For an extra $3 for side of crinkle cut fries, the whole meal is more than enough to share! It is a LOT of food, and for such a good price too! I have a high spice tolerance, but I usually get Medium so I can share with my dad and it has a good flavor. My favorite thing to get is the Big O' Sandwich, which is basically three tenders in a brioche bun w/ slaw, pickles, and sauce. but it's a food truck!!! My only complaint is that I can't just go out and get it whenever I want! But they do come by my area at least once or twice a month, so it's become something to look forward to! Bred's has quickly become my new favorite Nashville hot chicken place.
